Lao Telecom organized its annual meeting on Feb 14 to review its business performance at its headquarter in Vientiane.

“Last year witnessed LTC recording several achievements with US$82.8 million invested in expanding mobile broadband and fixed broadband networks. These have helped LTC attract more customers while keeping old customers satisfied with its service,” said Mr. Thavone Somsakoun.

“Based on the achievements we recorded in 2017, we have set an ambitious plan to increase the number of our customers to 3.4 million numbers, increase our income to LAK 1.98 trillion, up by 7.7% from 2017, and increase our net profit to 409.7, a 7.5% year on year rise,” said Mr Thavone.

The company said it will invest US$50 million in expanding its mobile and internet facilities to ensure it can provide better service to local customers.
