If you were in downtown Vientiane this evening, you may have heard explosions and the bright lights of fireworks.
They were coming from Vat Ong Teu.
Along with that there were monks, lanterns, and young women all dressed up.
It made for a beautiful sight and the event attracted a number of on lookers.
